Roasted Honey Garlic Pork Bites

Serves 12 | 
Savory, sticky, sweet and spicy.

Ingredients:

4 lb pork shoulder roast
1 yellow onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 cloves garlic
1 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Cut pork roast into small cubes. Chop the onion.
  3. Place the pork and onions in a roasting pan. Season both with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and bake for 1 hour. Remove from the oven.
  4. Finely dice the garlic and place in a small mixing bowl. Add the honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes to the bowl and stir together. Pour the sauce over pork and onion. Stir to coat.
  5. Roast uncovered for 90 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds over top and enjoy.
