Hot and Spicy Chicken Rigatoni

Turning up the heat.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 1/2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped
1 cup marinara sauce
3/4 cup Alfredo sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 lb rigatoni pasta
Parmesan cheese, for topping

Directions:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside until the sauce is ready.
  2. In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and season with crushed red pepper, salt, and black pepper. Saute until the garlic begins to caramelize.
  3. Add in the chicken and stir together. Cook until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Pour in the marinara and alfredo sauce. Stir to combine. Bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the butter and incorporate into sauce.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Stir to coat the noodles.
  7. Garnish with parmesan cheese and enjoy!
