Cinnamon Nut Raisin Cake

Enjoy the flavors of Fall.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a Bundt pan with cooking spray.
  2. Beat together shortening with sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs and beat until mixed.
  3. Add flour, buttermilk, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, raisins and walnuts to the mixing bowl. Stir until mixed together.
  4. Pour batter into the Bundt pan. Place pan in oven and bake for 45 minutes.
