Turkey Meatball Sandwiches





Serves 2 |
Cheesy, full-flavored, and easy to make!
Ingredients:
| 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano |
| 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded |
| 1/2 cup instant oats |
| Ground black pepper, to taste |
| 1 egg |
| 1/4 cup bread crumbs |
| 2 hoagie rolls |
| 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
| 1 lb ground turkey |
| 1/2 tablespoon dried basil |
| 1 jar pasta sauce |
| 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Combine oregano, instant oats, black pepper, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic salt, ground turkey, basil and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowl. Mix together very well.
- Scoop out a small amount and create meatballs. Enough for 24 meatballs.
- Grease a baking tray with cooking spray. Arrange meatballs on tray.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Pour pasta sauce in a saucepan, then add meatballs. Turn stovetop to medium heat and cook until sauce is warm.
- Turn broiler on in oven.
- Arrange hamburger buns on a baking sheet. Spoon three meatballs onto each bottom bun, drizzle sauce over top and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over top.
- Place baking sheet in oven and cook until cheese has melted.
