Chicken Drumsticks with Paprika and Peppers





Serves 6 |
Spicy, savory, hot and delicious!
Ingredients:
6 chicken drumsticks |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons hot paprika |
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, more to taste |
Salt, to taste |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
2 bell peppers, seeded and sliced into strips |
4 jalapeno peppers, sliced into strips |
2 yellow onions, sliced |
6 cloves garlic, minced |
1 1/2 cups dry white wine |
Directions:
- Heat oven to 400° F.
- Place the chicken drumsticks in a mixing bowl. Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon paprika, chili flakes, salt and pepper over the drumsticks and toss to coat.
- Bring a large oven-proof skillet to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the chicken drumsticks in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, turning frequently to brown each side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour the remaining olive oil into the skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper slices, jalapeno pepper slices, and yellow onions. Cook for 5 minutes, turning often.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant. Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Add the chicken back to the skillet.
- Pour the wine into the pan. Season with remaining paprika. Sprinkle additional red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper over the chicken, if desired.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and cook uncovered for 40 minutes, turning the chicken a few times throughout.
- Remove from the oven and transfer to serving plates. Enjoy!
