Braised Balsamic Chicken

Serves 3 | 
Highly flavorful and surprisingly easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved
Ground black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 can diced tomatoes, 15 oz.
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Directions:

  1. Season chicken breasts with black pepper and garlic salt.
  2. Pour olive oil into a skillet and bring to medium heat. Add sliced onion and chicken breasts, cook until onion and chicken have browned.
  3. Pour in diced tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. Season with basil, oregano, rosemary and thyme. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
