Braised Balsamic Chicken

Serves 3 |
Highly flavorful and surprisingly easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 onion, thinly sliced |
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar |
1 can diced tomatoes, 15 oz. |
1 teaspoon dried basil |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 teaspoon dried rosemary |
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
Directions:
- Season chicken breasts with black pepper and garlic salt.
- Pour olive oil into a skillet and bring to medium heat. Add sliced onion and chicken breasts, cook until onion and chicken have browned.
- Pour in diced tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. Season with basil, oregano, rosemary and thyme. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
